Most of the CTS Dip Switch products are supplied with selective gold plated contacts for extended life requirements, and low contact resistance. The advantage of the selective gold plating is that the cost of the product is minimized, while maintaining the solderability of the tin plated terminals for board attachment. Lower cost tin-plated, or gold flash contacts are available in some product types. The CTS 218 Series offers gold plated contacts and gold flashed terminals.
