Another unique design feature is the static discharge protection offered in some of the dip switch product lines. On the 193, 194, 195, 204, 206, 206RA, 208, and 208RA the internal contacts are separated by a plastic detent which is part of the actuator. As the actuator is moved, the detent separating the contacts moves allowing the contacts to open or close. By grounding the front row of terminals this construction also offers ESD protection. When the actuator is touched, any static build up can be discharged through the grounded front row of terminals.
