Carol® Brand’s part number C5804, RG 6/U type of coaxial cable with Moisture Guard™ technology, is suitable for outdoor use in conduits or direct burial applications. This cable also features FlexFill®, which is a water blocking compound between the shield and the jacket that helps prevent water ingress in the event of jacket damage. The polyethylene jacket provides the first line of defense against water damage and contains stabilizers to prevent UV degradation. Since this cable has a polyethylene jacket and water block material, it does not have any NEC rating for flammability. The user will need to transition from an outdoor rated cable to an indoor rated coax cable.
