Awards Speak Louder than Words

The electronics industry award season is in full swing. It is around this time every year that suppliers present awards to their distributors based on different criteria including customer and sales growth, breadth of inventory, new product introductions (NPIs), collaborative marketing campaigns, partnership management, and more.

It is also a good time to review the results for the first half of 2018, which is showing DigiKey’s performance outpacing the industry by 2x in growth. Our suppliers are rewarding distribution partners who are adding value and building a stronger brand image, and the awards are one means of highlighting this success.

DigiKey is humbled to have been the recipient of 30+ industry awards so far this year, with just a sample of achievement noted below. Many global companies are recognizing us for not just North American performance, but now we are seeing awards based on results for both Asia-Pacific and EMEA.

You may notice that many of the awards recognize DigiKey as the Distributor of the Year. We also want to make mention of the individual achievements such as the Excellence and the Product Manager of the Year awards. DigiKey’s difference is in the people. Our success would not be possible without the contributions of each team member. We are proud to have successful relationships with 800+ suppliers. DigiKey feels these awards reinforce our commitment to maintaining strong and collaborative partnerships, while ensuring our mutual customer bases have access to the broadest depth of product and newest technologies.
