Now that an evaluated paper or web-based design exists, validation of the design in the lab is easy. One way to do so is to use the WEBENCH Build-It boards, which allow a validation of online WEBENCH designs on the bench. In addition, evaluation boards are available for modification to match a paper or online design. In the case of the LM315x family, these evaluation boards also come with Gerber files for easy layout during the design-in step. Lastly, if a custom board design is desired, Gerber files of the evaluation and reference boards are provided for easy reference. These files can be used as a basis for custom board layouts. In addition, a WEBENCH summary page is provided with every WEBENCH design.
