Reference designs are available for quick validation of a design and come complete with Altium based schematics, Gerber files, BOM, and a reference board. The designs are proven and guaranteed, so if the reference design specifications work with a solution, it can be copied into a system. Or if the reference design specifications don’t match requirements, use the design as a reference and modify it accordingly. If the layout needs to be modified, the reference layout can be used as a starting point for a layout. The thermal behavior simulated on WEBENCH power designer can always be referenced as well, to make layout modifications if needed. Lastly, reference boards can be used to validate a design which have been configured for a popular conversion specification.
