With every new generation of POL converters, OmniOn Power consolidated more components to perform the functions of multiple predecessors. This allows customers to consolidate and simplify designs. Another important feature is that these products are designed to be part of an interchangeable variety of solutions. The DOSA solutions are part of a dual-footprint capability. This means that the PICO and the MICRO, for example, use a dual footprint that allows the user to move quickly between one size and the next, and the same with the MICRO and the MEGA. This allows the ability to move up to a quick cost reduction, or to scale up with a dual footprint. OmniOn Power also licenses their products along with their patented tunable loop technology to alternate vendors such as BelFuse and Murata Power Solutions in order to mitigate the level of risk for the customer.
