TRINAMIC’s TMC5160 is a stepper motor controller for two-phase bipolar stepper motors, driving external MOSFETs for up to 20 A of motor current per coil at up to 60 V. The TMC5160 is designed for ease-of-use and integrates an advanced stepper motor driver and motion controller, with many exclusive Trinamic features, including stealthChop2™ and spreadCycle™, ensuring noiseless operation with maximum efficiency and torque. The controller interfaces directly with an MCU and handles all real-time position and velocity stepper motion calculations, and supports up to 256 microsteps per full step. The TMC5160 is offered in compact packages, and Trinamic offers a full suite of software and hardware for development support.
