TE Connectivity presents their sliding power connector, which allows for hot swapping of components in a server drawer. This unique power connector solution is well suited for applications drawing up to 75 amps. And when being compared to normal power cables, this sliding power connector results in an improved voltage drop due to its more direct path from the power source to the load. Also, because there is no need for a bulky and complex cable management system within the server drawer, this sliding power connector solution yields a cleaner and simpler design that is less likely to be disconnected from the power source.
