LOGO! 8.3 Logic Modules | First Look

Welcome to First Look, brought to you by Digi-Key and Siemens. The Siemens 8.3 LOGO! module is a perfect choice as a fast, uncomplicated and space-saving solution for basic control tasks. The LOGO! has long been a constant as an intelligent logic module for small automation projects however, the latest development brings LOGO! into the cloud. This way, users are not limited by the storage volume of the SD card but can now send data to the cloud. The basic modules feature relay outputs with a maximum 10 amp output current. Integrated EEPROM memory supports the control program and setpoint values. The modules offer 8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs. The 4 inputs can be used as 12 or 24 volts DC analog inputs in the DC variants, the input voltage range is from 0 to 10 volts. The inputs can also be used digitally. In the DC versions, the 4 inputs can also be used for high-speed counting up to 5 kilohertz. With cloud functionality, data can be accessed and edited regardless of location. The freshly revised, free-of-charge LOGO! Web Editor enables users to create their own web pages, which are also stored in the cloud. The LOGO! Web editor is controllable by any terminal device. The components are placed into the editor pane via drag and drop. Users can draw graphics, integrate texts, pictures and links. Digital values: shown as icons or control buttons. Using the integrated web server functionality, users can also control or trigger an alarm. The LOGO! Software offers the ideal individual programming for the implementation of simple automation tasks in industry and building technology. This allows the creation of user programs by selecting the respective functions and their connection via drag-and-drop. The new LOGO! 8.3 modules all come with an ethernet interface with several versions to support different supply powers. With an extended temperature range from -20 to 55 degrees celsius, the LOGO! Modules are ideal for any industrial automation system.
