In order to increase familiarity with digital DC/DC converters as well as speed up development, the Digital Power Insight evaluation kit is available from OmniOn Power. This includes an evaluation board with the 12 A Pico DLynx, a USB to I²C interface dongle as well as the USB and PMBus cables required to connect it to a computer. The Digital Power Insight GUI allows seamless communication to the module without any programming required. Note that this same setup can be used to communicate with modules on a real application board, provided the 10-pin I²C connector is placed.
