Panasonic, a leading capacitor technology supplier, offers a wide range of MLCC alternative solutions including SP-Cap, POSCAP, OS-CON, hybrid, and film capacitors. These capacitor alternatives are physically robust, have a safe failure mode, and can reduce board space. The SP-Cap and POSCAP technologies have capacitance values as low as 2.2 microfarads and as high as 1500 microfarads, and have low ESL and ESR values. The OS-CON capacitor values are as high as 2700 microfarads with voltage ratings up to 100 volts DC. The hybrid caps have an elevated temperature range, up to 145 degrees Celsius, and are AEC-Q200 compliant. And the film technology is rated to 630 volts DC with capacitance values ranging from 0.0001 to 1 microfarad.
