Analog Devices MAX77827 Buck-Boost Converter | DigiKey Daily

Analog Devices’s MAX77827 is a buck-boost regulator intended for one-cell lithium-ion battery-powered applications. It features an input voltage range from 1.8 to 5.5 volts. Its adjustable output voltage, controlled by a single resistor, ranges from 2.3 to 5.3 volts. The regulator offers two different switching current levels, 1.8 amps and 3.1 amps, in order to optimize external component sizing based upon load-current requirements. In buck mode, a maximum of 1.6 amps output current is available when using the 3.1-amp current-limiting option.

And in boost mode, a maximum current output of 900 milliamps is provided when utilizing the 1.8-amp current-limit option. Other features include high efficiency, up to 96 percent, an ultra-low quiescent current of 6 microamps, and a small 12-bump WLP package.
