Powering VLSI Based Systems

This tutorial will discuss the systems considerations of powering VLSI based systems and some of the special needs required by the physics of their construction. Trends in VLSI device physics will be covered, the marketplace and regulatory issues and the trends going forward which designers always need to be mindful of. Additionally, the module will discuss what occurs when users combine some of these in a system, to solve real world problems. Finally, the approaches to solve some of these challenges effectively will be reviewed.
