This tutorial will provide an introduction to the MSP430 and discuss its ultra-low power performance. Included in the presentation will be a definition of low power, low power modes and how they are interrelated to interrupts, and the MSP430 clock system along with device-specific clocking options in calibrating the DCO (the on-chip oscillator).
