Murata's ceramic resonators utilize base metal electrode technology

Image of Murata Electronics CERALOCK® Ceramic ResonatorsMurata Electronics base metal electrode CERALOCK® is a chip-type ceramic resonator, intended for the MHz band. This product has migrated away from using precious metal (palladium) as the substrate inter-layer electrode material, making a long-term stable supply possible. The CSTNR-G-C/L, CSTNE-G, and CSTNE-V series characteristics and environmental resistances are equivalent to previous products. They offer the same land pattern as previous products, allowing the component to be replaced in most cases without changing the design of the board. Base metal electrode technology is standardized in multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), and there has been sufficient achievement in automotive applications for many years, thus ensuring good performance and reliability.
