With diameters of about 10 mm and heights as low as 3.5 mm, these subminiature load cells can be used in applications where space is limited. For example, RSB5 load cells can measure the clamping force applied when attaching a heat sink to a microprocessor. These force sensors can be purchased standalone or as a kit to work with a PC, PLC, or data acquisition systems.

The base output from these load cells is about 1.5 mV/V with an overall accuracy class of ±0.5% of full scale.

The RSB5 load cell is equivalent to the Honeywell Model 13 sub-miniature load cell and the Wika model F1222 load cell.
