DC/DC

Whether regulated or unregulated, isolated to 10kVDC, or carefully designed for extremely high ambient temperatures of +100°C - RECOM offers a suitable DC/DC converter for every application. Unregulated DC/DC converters are typically used in general purpose power isolation and voltage matching applications and feature a full industrial operating temperature range of -40°C up to +85°C without derating. Regulated DC/DC converters are designed for industrial applications, can drive high capacitive loads and operate over a broad temperature range without derating. Furthermore they provide stable output voltages when the input voltage suddenly changes.

The RKZE series are encased in an industry standard SIP7 footprint. They have an impressive operating temperature range of -40°C to +95°C. These modules are pin-compatible with the RK and RH converter series, offering a simple way to upgrade a 1 W high isolation supply to 2 W. Standard isolation is 3 kVDC, and the /H version is factory tested to 4 kVDC. Single or dual outputs are available with optional continuous short circuit protection (/P suffix).

R1DX thumbnail sized DC/DC converters are low cost and high quality open-frame SMD converters.

RECOM R1DX

The R1DX series operates from 5 V and offer ±5, ±9, ±12, or ±15 dual outputs. 1 Watt DC/DC SMD Converters

R1SE Series drives down the Cost of 1 Watt DC/DC SMD Converters.

RECOM R1SE

The pricing has now been further reduced on the R1SE Series from RECOM, with 1 watt of power, 1000 VDC isolation, and 5 V input/output, is the first release in the new economical “E-class”. These converters are primarily used to provide isolation for the interfaces of bus systems. In these applications, operating temperatures of +85°C without de-rating are sufficient. It is unnecessary to use high-grade temperature components that de-rate down to +85°C.

The case, measuring only 12.75 x 10.7 x 6.7 mm and consisting of two parts, has been designed so that potting is not necessary - further reducing the material cost. Weighing only 1 gram, this lightweight component can be positioned quickly and precisely with automatic placement equipment. Although un-potted, the 100% lead-free design enables it to withstand all thermal cycling in the vapor phase solder processes. The modules are UL60950 certified.

R-78E switching regulator module now offers all the advantages of a switching regulator (high efficiency, wide input voltage range, accurate output voltage regulation) at low cost. The R-78E offers a risk-free, pre-tested solution that makes designing a switching regulator circuit redundant. Open Frame Surface Mount Modular Switching Regulator

The ROF-78E Series high-efficiency switching regulators are ideally suited to replace SMD linear regulators.

RECOM ROF-78E

The ROF-78E is a low profile, postage-stamp-sized SMD DC/DC power supply module designed to provide 5 V or 3.3 V at up to 0.5 A continuous load (0.95 A peak). It is also short circuit, overload and over-temperature protected. An enable connection is provided to allow sequential start-up and shutdown control.
